Qualifi Level 4 Certificate in Health and Social Care
Qualification
The Level 4 Certificate in Health and Social Care is designed to give you the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to be successful in a health and social care career at a supervisory or management level. The mandatory units in the certificate provide a strong foundation in the profession, while allowing you an optional unit in a specialisation focus area. Optional coursework ranges from study of psychology, public health, social policy, human resources, finance and other focused topics.
Upon successful completion of the Level 4 Certificate, you will be able to make an immediate and meaningful contribution in the management of health and social care. Qualifi are regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator) to award the Level 4 Certificate in Health and Social Care in England and Wales. This qualification has been accredited to the National Qualification Framework (NQF) and has its unique Qualification Accreditation Number (QAN).
Entry Requirements
The Level 4 Certificate is designed to apply to your professional requirements. Therefore, you must have a recognised Level 3 National Certificate or Diploma in Health and Social Care or its equivalent and AVCE/Advanced GS/NVQ in an appropriate vocational area, as well as related work experience.
Qualifi provides Level 4 Certificate holders access to higher education pathways.
Progression
Upon completion of the Level 4 Certificate you should be able to progress to:
• The Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care; or
• The first year of undergraduate university study in health and social care; or
• Employment in a related profession. Qualifi have transfer agreements with UK and US universities that recognise and transcript the Level 4 Certificate.
Qualification Structure
The Level 4 Certificate in Health and Social Care consists of six mandatory, foundational units and one optional unit. You must complete all seven mandatory units and at least one of the optional units.
The Certificate requires 6 Mandatory Units at Level 4.
